Think of London and the first thing that will come to your mind is the Big Ben. If you happen to be a sports maniac, then London should definitely be on your travel list. The city houses some of the most iconic sporting venues.

If you are a die-hard cricket lover, then you cannot leave London before witnessing a high-voltage game of cricket at Lord’s, the Mecca of cricket. If you are lucky enough, then you might just get to witness some of your favourite cricketers in action. 

In 2017 alone, more than 30 million tourists set foot in London (Jan-Sept). Also, the number of Chinese tourists went up by 33% in 2017. These numbers showcase London’s rise to power as a tourist destination. 

Calling all football lovers

That’s not all. There’s a lot for you in store if you are a football fan.  London plays home to some of the most celebrated clubs in the history of the Premier League. The likes of Chelsea, Fulham, Crystal Palace, and Tottenham Hotspur are based in London. For the love of nature

Moving on, if you happen to be someone who loves lush green grasslands, then you will love to spend a few days in the counties of Middlesex and Surrey. Both of these countries happen to be a paradise for all nature lovers out there. You can treat yourself to some breathtaking views while enjoying some country-brewed beer.

Nothing works like food, right?

If you’re a foodie, then London’s the place for you. Here, you will find some of the finest multi-cuisine restaurants and bars. Also, you will find a lot of local eateries and road-side stalls selling some mouth-watering snacks. If you are someone who loves street food, then you got to travel to London. There are roadside kiosks selling sandwiches, lattes, burgers, fries, etc. You cannot say no to mouth-watering snacks  from the streets of London. 

There’s no medicine like music

London’s music culture is one of the best in the world. Some of the biggest names in the world of music make their way to London every year in order to enthrall audiences. The Wembley Arena is one of the most iconic entertainment and sporting venues in the world

This winter, some of the most celebrated artistes are  coming to the UK to perform in front of a packed house. Sir Elton John would be performing in London in December as part of his Farewell Tour. If you are a guy who grew up during the 1970s and 1980s, then you’d be well aware of the menace created by Sir Elton’s songs. The concert provides you with an opportunity to relive the good old days. Miss it at your own risk. 

That’s not all because veteran singer/ songwriter John Prine will also be performing in London in February next year. A lesson on Country music would certainly be incomplete without mentioning John Prine. He is the undisputed king of country music. ‘Grandpa was a Carpenter’, Sam Stone, “Please Don’t Bury Me” have become cult classics.

London has countless surprises for you in store. If you’re planning a trip to the UK, make sure London’s a part of your itinerary.  And not to mention, the weather is just awesome. If you wish to witness heavy snowfall, then come to London in December.
